I really enjoyed the story-within-a-story going on here. I was deeply invested in the book the character was reading, as well as the novel itself. There’s no way I’d move out to a big, empty house in the middle of nowhere by myself—the first stray noise would have had me abandoning ship. I ended up enjoying this read quite a bit, and I loved how everything tied together.
