It’s been a fairly productive writing week: I worked on the snippets for the new story and discovered some interesting things about my MC and my world. I wrote five book reviews. And I started working my way through the Writing with Maggie Stiefvater seminar, which is fascinating so far.

Sundays are for Writing #74
I feel like I got a lot accomplished this week, writing-wise. I wrote some more snippets for character development in the new story. I wrote five book reviews, plus a post about what I read in May (33 books) and another post on the top three books I read in May. I’ll take it.
Did anyone else get any writing done this week?
Sundays are for Writing #73
It’s been a solid writing week this week. I started doing some brief snippets to try to get a feel for the main character for the new story I’ll be starting soon. I also wrote seven book reviews and a post explaining why I rate books like I do (it’s not always only about the writing quality). Nothing prompted that post except a conversation with a friend about why I don’t finish reading every book I pick up. Here’s to more good writing weeks!
Sundays are for Writing #73
I am continuing to take a break from writing—except for four book reviews. I did type the summary ending to the King Arthur story into the draft, and thought about some of the problems with the draft, but that’s it. I’m brainstorming my next story and re-reading a draft I want to edit and polish next.
Sundays are for Writing #72
What I didn’t do this week was write. At all. Except for three book reviews (two for June, one a last-minute commitment for May). I’m tired. I’m burned out on my current WIP—but planning my next one. My mom is in town to meet my new nephew. I’m just not in a writing mood.

Sundays are for Writing #71
Well, this will be a short update. I did exactly zero fiction-writing this week, and only three book reviews. I’m not very happy with my current WIP—stalled out—and I feel like pushing through is just creating words without quality. Hopefully, I’ll feel up to writing next week. On the positive side, I have been re-reading a draft that I really want to polish and send out into the world before the end of the year.

I had four fiction-writing sessions planned this week, but I only did three.
However…I wrote eleven book reviews this week, too. I finished reading all the books I’m reviewing in May during April…and all the reviews are written, too. And my sister-in-law went into labor and I have a new nephew, so I’m fine with that level of productivity!

I hope everyone had a good week! I had four fiction-writing sessions planned this week, but I only did three. Trying to give myself a break this week and not feel guilty over things like this…and not working out at all this week.
I did write seven book reviews this week, though!

This week was a better writing week, although I still didn’t quite get all of my planned writing sessions in. I had five planned fiction sessions, but got in four. I also wrote and scheduled five book reviews in three days, so I’ll take that.

Sundays are for Writing #67
This was not a good writing week, but…considering, I’m not beating myself up over it. It is what it is, and I’m not going to put unnecessary pressure on myself when I’m really not in the mental space to write.
So, five planned sessions, but only two actual fiction-writing sessions. Five book review written, too.
