Sundays are for Writing #33

This was my first full week without school or work obligations on Tuesday and Thursday, and it was an excellent writing week!

I got in writing sessions on three days, for a total of six pages, plus some planning on the King Arthur project, and a bit of work on the Holly Lisle HTWAN class. And…I’ve decided to do NaNoWriMo this year for the first time in…years! I’m actually super excited about this, and the Muse is already hinting at ideas. I want to finish the first draft of the King Arthur story before November, though. So it would probably be a good idea to plot that out…

Also wrote three book reviews and I’m trying to write a narrative nonfiction essay just because.

This week, I got in writing sessions on two days! I also wrote two book reviews. Currently working on a narrative essay (just because) and brainstorming the King Arthur story. Progress!

Another busy non-fiction writing week. I wrote four blogs for the internship and four book reviews. Only one fiction-writing session, but…with a little bit of luck, this is my last week of school!

My last day at my internship is Thursday, and, assuming I pass (please, God), that will complete my degree. So, in theory, then I’ll have more time for fiction.

I only got in one short fiction-writing session this week, but I wrote four book reviews and somewhere around five blog posts for my internship, so I’m calling that a win…

Sundays are for Writing #28

I didn’t write any fiction this week. My brain is not cooperating with that currently.

But, I did write a fair amount of non-fiction this week:

-four book reviews
-three staff profile blogs for the internship +
-finishing a super long blog post +
-transcribing an interview for another blog post for the internship.

Hopefully, my brain will cooperate with the fiction-writing next week. Turning over some ideas in life is taking up all its energy right now.

Sundays are for Writing #27

I got in my writing sessions early this week (Tuesday), since I planned to be out of town the rest of the week. One solid, twenty-minute session, instead of my usual two 10-minute sessions.

Lots of nonfiction writing this week, though:  a handful of book reviews here, and two personal profiles and the start of a blog for the internship.

It’s been a good writing week!

Sundays are for Writing #26

I decreased my fiction-writing goal to one session a week this week. Which is…sad, I know, but with things so stressful lately, I’ve needed to put resting and de-stressing at the top of my list.

And it worked, more or less. I got in my writing session on Saturday. I also wrote a long piece for the internship and a shorter personal profile as well.

More importantly, I survived the unusually chaotic and stressful workweek, so there’s that.

Or not, as the case may be. I’ve done quite a bit of non-fiction writing (book reviews, things for the internship), but have been too mentally exhausted for any fiction. I’m reworking my schedule for next week so hopefully I can get in some fiction writing.

Sundays are for Writing #24

This week wasn’t really a productive writing week. I only did one fiction-writing session, and I was too exhausted from the day job for much else.

But one is better than none, I suppose.

Sundays are for Writing #23

Well…sort of.

I didn’t do any fiction writing this week. Sometimes, exhaustion and busyness combine to make sleep a priority.

I did, however, write three book reviews on Saturday, and my first blog post for my internship, so I’m counting it as a win.
