Sundays are for Writing #337

This was an okay writing week: I wrote two book reviews, Friends to Lovers, by Sally Blakely and Through an Open Window, by Pamela Terry. Both were good reads, but I absolutely loved Through and Open Window. I also DNFed three books, Rivals to Lovers, by Elise Wayland, Influenced, by Sarah Darer Littman, and The Book Of Heartbreak, by Ova Ceren.

This was a great writing week! I wrote five book reviews and DNFed on. Reviews written: A Botanist’s Guide to Rituals and Revenge, by Kate Khavari, Girls of Dark Divine, by E. V. Woods, The Magician of Tiger Castle, by Louis Sachar, Woven From Clay, by Jenny Birch, and For the Record, by Emma Lord. DNFed Rivals to Lovers, by Elise Wayland. Just no.

This was a good writing week! I wrote four book reviews: The Sandy Page Bookshop, by Hannah McKinnon, Give Me a Reason, by Jayci Lee, Road Trip with a Rogue, by Kate Bateman, and The Alchemy of Flowers, by Laura Resau. I also DNFed In the Veins of the Drowning, by Kalie Cassidy, Smuggler’s Cover, by Fern Michaels, and Mistress of Bones, by Maria Z. Medina.

I wrote three book reviews this week: Grave Birds, by Dana Elmendorf, Fire Mountain, by Dana Mentink, and Reports of His Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated, by James Goodhand. That last one I DNFed, but it’s for a blog tour, so I did review it. I also DNFed All the Men I’ve Loved Again, by Christine Pride and The Odds of Getting Even, by Amanda Sellet because the MCs were just not for me.

Hopefully next week will be better.

This was another great writing week! Journaling, and four book reviews: A Magic Deep and Drowning, by Hester Fox, Pretty Girl County, by Lakita Wilson, Party of Liars, by Kelsey Cox, and Let’s Make a Scene, by Laura Wood. I think my Muse is starting to show some faint stirrings of interest in fiction again, too.

Sundays are for Writing #331

This was an excellent writing (and reading) week, as I had a long weekend for Memorial Day. I wrote six book reviews:

A Far Better Thing, by H. G. Parry  (A fantasy re-telling of A Tale of Two Cities).

Writing Mr. Right, by Alina Khawaja (I DNFed this because the male MC was well, a fantasy, and the female MC was so passive about everything in her life, but I had to review it for a blog tour.)

Rewind To Us, by Molly Morris. This was a cute YA romance! The secondary characters were great.

The Ex-Girlfriend Murder Club, by Gloria Chao. This was a fun read!

Best of All Worlds, by Kenneth Oppel. Meh. At best.

Look Before You Leap, by Virginia Heath. Solid romance read, light as Virginia Heath’s books usually are.

This week was an okay writing week. I journaled, and I wrote two book reviews, A First Time for Everything, by K. L. Walther and The Summer That Changed Everything, by Brenda Novak. I also DNFed three books, Sing Me Home to Carolina, by Joy Calloway; We Can Never Leave, by H.E. Edgmon; and A Most Puzzling Murder, by Bianca Marais.

Sundays are for Writing #329

This wasn’t the best writing week I’ve had. I only wrote one book review, The Listeners, by Maggie Stiefvater, and I did some journaling. That’s it. In my defense, I ended up having three biopsies done unexpectedly on Monday (they all came back fine) and my entire family was visiting for the week, plus some nonsense at work, so writing wasn’t top of my list.

Happy writing.

Sundays are for Writing #328

I was out of town most of the week for a work conference, but I still got some writing down. I didn’t journal every day–I missed two days–, but I did write three book reviews: The Courage to Change, by Joyce Meyer, The Other Side of Now, by Paige Harbison, and A Forgery of Fate, by Elizabeth Lim.

Happy writing!

This was a great writing week! I wrote my April reading post, my best books I read in April post, Their Double Lives, by Jaime Lynn Hendricks, Our Last Wild Days, by Anna Bailey, Come As You Are, by Dahlia Adler, and Bodies and Battlements, by Elizabeth Penney. I also journaled every day.

Happy writing!
