Sundays are for Writing #61

Well, this wasn’t a stellar writing week, but it was a solid one. I had five fiction writing sessions planned, but only got in three. But, I did write five book reviews as well, so there was actually quite a bit of writing done. Better luck with the fiction next week.

Sundays are for Writing #60

I had a fairly successful writing week this week. I got in four out of five planned fiction sessions, and I also wrote several book reviews. Even better, I did some brainstorming on the new writing project and a new editing/revision project. Definitely a win!

Sundays are for Writing #59

This week, I managed to get in all but one planned writing session, and a handful of book reviews. There’s been a lot going on with my family this week, and I’ve been a bit distracted with that.

Sundays are for Writing #58

I got in two fiction-writing sessions this week, instead of my planned five. 😦 Some weeks are just like that…

Sundays are for Writing #57

This week was a much better writing week! I got in all four planned fiction-writing sessions, and I wrote a handful of book reviews, too. Happy for the improvement!

Sundays are for Writing #55

This week was a MUCH better writing week than last week! I got in all five planned writing sessions. I’m hoping I finally have my schedule tweaked just right to make sure I have time for writing and everything else in the mornings before work. Because after work, it’s just not happening!

Sundays are for Writing #54

This was not a great writing week. I planned five sessions…and only did one. I’m making some changes to my schedule to see how that improves things, though. I also wrote two book reviews, which is also fewer than normal for me.

There’s obviously room for improvement!

Sundays are for Writing #53

So…this week did not go as planned, writing-wise. And I’m actually okay with that. I have a very good friend—whom I consider family—going through something pretty horrible right now, and supporting her is way more important than my “normal” routine. (Ha. Like anything about my life is ever normal.)

One fiction-writing session, two book reviews, and that’s it. Better luck next week!

Sundays are for Writing #52

I had another solid writing week. I had three planned writing sessions, and I got them all in without a problem. Started on the second timeline in the King Arthur story, so that’s taken a bit of mental adjustment.

I’m also working through Holly Lisle’s How to Write a Novel lessons for the new planned project. I love Holly’s classes—and I’m hoping this will help me straighten some things out before I start writing.

I’ve found this weekly update post to be super-motivating for me:  I think there were only three weeks this year that I didn’t do any writing! And that is such a huge improvement from the past few years, I’ll definitely keep doing these update posts next year!

Sundays are for Writing #51

Well…writing didn’t go quite so well this week. I only got in two writing sessions. No book reviews written (because I haven’t finished reading anything this week.). But…I DID finish one of the timelines in my King Arthur story, so there’s that.

To be fair…writing got pushed to the side in order to facilitate me finishing up a big personal goal that I’ve put off for basically eight or nine months. But the really time-consuming part is behind me, and I should finish it this week, so yay!
